Dedicated in 1917, the monument to the 104th New York Infantry Regiment at Antietam is on the north side of Cornfield Avenue. see map

Fought in the "Cornfield" near this spot. September 17th, 1862. In the Memorable Morning engagement between Hooker and Stonewall Jackson.

The 104th New York was commanded at Antietam by Major Lewis Skinner. It is also honored by a monument at Gettysburg.
