Dedicated in 1903, the monument to the First Battery, Ohio Light Artillery is south of the battlefield on Burnside Bridge Road. (see map)

This battery occupied position about 250 yards due west of this.
Commanded by Captain James R. McMullin, the battery was equipped with six 14-pounder James Rifles.
