Dedicated on September 17, 1904, the monument to the 132nd Pennsylvania Infantry Regiment at Antietam is along the Sunken Road (Bloody Lane) off Richardson Avenue. (See map)

The 132nd was commanded by Colonel Richard A. Oakford until he was killed in the assault on the Sunken Road. Lieutenant Colonel Vincent M. Wilcox then took command.
